Golden Week in NIKKO: It DIDN'T Go As Planned !!
🚐 Golden Week Escape… or Misadventure? 🌿
We tried to avoid the Golden Week crowds in Tokyo by heading to Nikko for a peaceful 3-day van trip. Nature, waterfalls, forest walks, local sweets… it all sounded perfect on paper. But let’s just say, things didn’t exactly go according to plan 😅
From traffic jams to a painful night in the van, a disappointing onsen, and some very unexpected crowd levels, this trip kept surprising us.
Still, we found hidden paths, delicious grilled dango, the best crêpe I’ve ever had in Japan, and some precious quiet moments in the forest.
